Bienvenue au Festival Européen de la Pierre 2009

The Festival is going to take place from 3 - 5 July in a beautiful square right in the heart of Salzburg.
The festival is organized by the Steinzentrum Hallein and the National Association of Stonemasons Austria.

La Festival européen de la pierre aura lieu du 3 au 5 juillet à Salzburg /Autriche sur la place de la cathédral.
Il est organisé par le lycée professionnel à Hallein avec son centre régional de formation des apprentis sculpteurs et l'Association national du tailleur de pierre Autriche.

What is the European Stone Festival?

The themes for qualified masons will centre around "Water und Nature". The block of stone provided for each participant measures 30 x 30 x 40 cm. The material is sandstone.
Apprentices select a design from the ideas provided by the organiser. The tasks are suited to their level of training. Examples will be published here by the end of January. Information.

Qu'est-ce que le Festival Européen de la Pierre?

L'organisateur a défini pour le festival une thématique qui est obligatoire pour les participants tailleurs de pierre et sculpteurs qualifié ou maître dans le métier. Cette année le sujet est: L'eau et la Nature.
Les participants auront 16 heures pour une réalisation d'après un projet personnel sur un bloc de grès dont les dimensions sont prédéfinies (30x30x40 cm). Information.

Register before 30 April 2009! If you are a stonemason or stone carver and interested in showing your skills in an international atmosphere, join your colleagues from allover Europe and come to Salzburg! Application forms and further information will be available on this homepage soon.
